North Carolina High School Baseball - West Wilkes defeats Ashe County

March 7, 2025: Millers Creek, NC 28651

The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) and the visiting Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), saw West Wilkes's baseball team gain a win over Ashe County by a tally of 8-1.

The Blackhawks (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Falcons enter the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Forbush was overwhelmed by Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC), 5-3, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Huskies face the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, March 10. Ashe County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 0-3 record after their 18-0 non-league loss to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC).
