Next, the Mustangs play the Denton Broncos (Denton, TX) in a 5A Region I District 7 challenge, on Tuesday, March 11. Grapevine will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Broncos enter the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 20-7 league loss to Richland (North Richland Hills, TX).

The Eagles (9-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Colleyville Heritage (Colleyville, TX). The Panthers enter the 5A Region I District 7 challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Colleyville Heritage edged Henrietta (Henrietta, TX), 4-1, in a non-league challenge.
