The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Westlake Chaparrals (Austin, TX) and the host Austin Maroons (Austin, TX), observed Westlake's softball team get by Austin by a tally of 6-1.
The Chaparrals (10-4) will now prepare for their bout against Bowie (Austin, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 6A Region IV District 26 bout with a 8-4 record.
In their next game, the Maroons clash with the San Marcos Rattlers (San Marcos, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 8. Austin will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The Rattlers go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 6-2 non-league win over Southwest (San Antonio, TX).
