Texas High School Softball - Overton gets by Elysian Fields

March 7, 2025: Overton, TX 75684

The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX) and the visiting Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX), observed Overton's softball team get by Elysian Fields by a tally of 15-14.

The Mustangs (6-8) will now prepare for their bout against Carlisle (Price, TX). The Indians go into the 2A Region III District 19 bout with a 0-11 record. In their last bout, Carlisle was nipped by Harleton (Harleton, TX), 18-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Ore City Rebels (Ore City, TX) in a 2A Region III District 19 bout, on Monday, March 10. Elysian Fields will attempt to advance on its 1-14 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 13-2 league loss to Beckville (Beckville, TX).
