The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) and the host Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC), observed Northwest Guilford's softball team notch a victory over Grimsley by a final score of 23-0.
The Vikings (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Page (Greensboro, NC). The Pirates go into the Metro 4A bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Page was routed by Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC), 17-7, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Whirlies battle the Western Guilford Hornets (Greensboro, NC) in a Metro 4A bout, on Tuesday, March 11. Grimsley will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 20-2 league loss to Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC).
