The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Kenedy Lions (Kenedy, TX) and the visiting Port Aransas Marlins (Port Aransas, TX), observed Kenedy's softball team notch a victory over Port Aransas by a final score of 18-3.

The Lions (11-5) will now prepare for their bout against Agua Dulce (Agua Dulce, TX). The Longhorns go into the 2A Region IV District 30 bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, Agua Dulce was routed by Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX), 5-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Marlins battle the Yorktown Wildcats (Yorktown, TX) in a bout, on Tuesday, March 11. Port Aransas will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 17-1 non-league loss to Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX).
