In Friday's league test, the La Quinta Blackhawks (La Quinta, CA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Palm Desert Aztecs (Palm Desert, CA), by a count of 8-0.

Next, the Blackhawks meet the Palm Springs Indians (Palm Springs, CA) in a Desert Empire test, on Tuesday, March 11. La Quinta will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Indians go into the test with a 2-6 record after their 6-5 non-league win over Excelsior Charter (Victorville, CA).

The Aztecs (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Rancho Mirage (Rancho Mirage, CA). The Rattlers go into the Desert Empire test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Rancho Mirage toppled Xavier Prep (Palm Desert, CA), 20-10, in a league test.
