The Lamar County Bulldogs edged the host Oakman Wildcats softball squad by a count of 5-4 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs play the South Lamar Stallions (Millport, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 8. Lamar County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Stallions enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 10-2 non-league win over Lamar County (Vernon, AL).
The Wildcats (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Berry (Berry, AL). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Berry edged Pickens Academy (Carrollton, AL), 12-11, in a non-league challenge.
