The Santa Monica Vikings softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Mira Costa Mustangs to 7 in the Vikings non-league win on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Peninsula for a non-league battle on Monday, March 10. Santa Monica will confront a Panthers team coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Port of Los Angeles (San Pedro, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Mira Costa moves to 3-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Carson (Carson, CA) to confront the Colts in a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 11. The Colts come into the battle with a record of 3-0. Carson won 5-4 in their recent non-league battle against Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, CA)
