The Union Preparatory Polar Bears softball team scored 23 runs and held the host Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats to 0 in the Polar Bears non-league win on Friday.

The Polar Bears now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greater Cabarrus Stallions for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 1.

With the loss, Sugar Creek Charter moves to 0-2 on the season. The Wildcats host Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC) to confront the Patriots in a Metro Eight 1A battle on Thursday, March 13. The Patriots come into the battle with a record of 2-3.
