Dixie Hornets (Due West, SC) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Pendleton Bulldogs (Pendleton, SC), 8-3 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Dixie improves its record to 5-0 on the year. The Hornets travel to Strom Thurmond (Johnston, SC) to play the Rebels in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 10. The Rebels enter the game with a record of 1-0. Strom Thurmond won 12-1 in their recent non-league game against Greenwood (Greenwood, SC)

The Bulldogs now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Walhalla for a AAA Region 1 game on Thursday, March 12. Pendleton will play a Razorbacks team coming off a 15-7 non-league win over Southside Christian (Simpsonville, SC). The Razorbacks record now stands at 4-3.
