The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) and the host Atwater Falcons (Atwater, CA), saw El Capitan's volleyball squad beat Atwater by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, El Capitan upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Gauchos host Central Valley (Ceres, CA) to play the Hawks in a bout on Thursday, March 17. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 6-1.

The Falcons now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Patterson for a bout on Thursday, March 10. Atwater will play a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Orestimba (Newman, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-1.
