Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Chatham Charter Knights (Siler City, NC), 10-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Oak Ridge Military Academy for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 9. Cornerstone Charter will face a squad coming off a 11-9 non-league win over Forsyth Home Educators (Winston-Salem, NC). The record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Chatham Charter falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Knights host Clover Garden School (Burlington, NC) to face the Grizzlies in a Central Tar Heel 1A challenge on Friday, March 11. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Clover Garden School won 12-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Bethany (Summerfield, NC)
