Gunter Tigers (Gunter, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Pottsboro Cardinals (Pottsboro, TX), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now sport a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Howe for a 3A Region II District 11 challenge on Saturday, March 12. Gunter will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 9-2 league loss to Bonham (Bonham, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Pottsboro falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Bonham (Bonham, TX) to face the Warriors in a 3A Region II District 11 challenge on Tuesday, March 15. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 8-4. Bonham won 9-2 in their recent league challenge against Howe (Howe, TX)
