Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC), 15-8 in a league challenge.

The Rams now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host East Gaston for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, March 29.

With the loss, Shelby falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Golden lions travel to South Point (Belmont, NC) to battle the Red Raiders in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 16. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
