Hutto Hippos (Hutto, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host McNeil Mavericks (Austin, TX), 13-0 in a league challenge.

The Hippos now own a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Round Rock for a 6A Region IV District 25 challenge on Monday, March 14. Hutto will battle a Dragons squad coming off a 15-2 league win over Round Rock Westwood (Austin, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, McNeil falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Stony Point (Round Rock, TX) to battle the Tigers in a 6A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-7.
