In Tuesday's league outing, the visiting Mt. Pleasant Tigers softball team scored a nice 12-3 win over the Marshall Mavericks.

Coming up next, the Tigers battle the Pine Tree Pirates (Longview, TX) in a 5A Region II District 15 outing, on Friday, March 11. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Pirates enter the outing with a 5-6 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Sabine (Gladewater, TX).

The Mavericks (4-6) will now prepare for their outing against Texas (Texarkana, TX). The Tigers enter the 5A Region II District 15 outing with a 6-1 record. In their last outing, Texas ran past Greenville (Greenville, TX), 12-2, in a non-league outing.
