The SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting North East Carolina Prep to 1 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, SouthWest Edgecombe improves its record to 4-0 on the year. The Cougars travel to Farmville Central (Farmville, NC) to clash with the Jaguars in a Eastern Plains 2A game on Tuesday, March 15. The Jaguars come into the game with a record of 0-2. Farmville Central lost 9-8 in their recent non-league game against J.H. Rose (Greenville, NC)

In their next game, the clash with the Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC) in a Four Rivers 1A game, on Tuesday, March 22. North East Carolina Prep will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
