The West Cabarrus Wolverines softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting South Iredell Vikings to 2 in the Wolverines league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, West Cabarrus moves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to play the Vikings in a non-league game on Thursday, March 10. The Vikings come into the game with a record of 1-1. Central Cabarrus won 5-0 in their recent non-league game against Piedmont (Monroe, NC)

In their next game, the Vikings play the Davie War Eagles (Mocksville, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 9. South Iredell will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The War Eagles come into the game with a 2-2 record after their 18-0 league win over R.J. Reynolds (Winston-Salem, NC).
