Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) and the visiting North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), saw East Gaston's baseball squad edge North Gaston by a margin of 7-6.
Coming up next, the Warriors play the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A battle, on Thursday, March 9. East Gaston will attempt to better on its 3-0 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the battle with a 1-3 record after their 10-0 league loss to East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC).
The Wildcats now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host North Lincoln for a non-league battle on Friday, March 10. North Gaston will play a Knights squad coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Forestview (Gastonia, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-2.
