Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Taylor County Vikings (Butler, GA) and the visiting Russell County Warriors (Seale, AL), saw Taylor County's baseball squad edge Russell County by a margin of 5-4.

Coming up next, the Vikings play the Marion County Eagles (Buena Vista, GA) in a 1A D-II Area 6 battle, on Tuesday, March 14. Taylor County will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 3-9 record after their 6-4 non-league loss to Carver (Columbus, GA).

The Warriors now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Columbus for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 11. Russell County will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Troup County (LaGrange, GA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-7.
