The Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA) volleyball overcame the visiting Gompers Prep Academy Eagles (San Diego, CA), 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

With the win, Monte Vista upgrades its record to 3-7 on the year. The Monarchs travel to Valhalla (El Cajon, CA) to face the Norsemen in a Grossmont Hills outing on Tuesday, March 14. The Norsemen go into the outing with a record of 2-7. Valhalla won 2-1 in their recent non-league outing against El Capitan (Lakeside, CA)

The Eagles now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Mount Miguel for a non-league outing on Friday, March 10.
