In Wednesday's league battle, the visiting Carolina International Comets soccer squad scored a good 9-0 win over the Sugar Creek Wildcats.
The Comets (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC). The Cardinals go into the Metro Eight 1A battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Corvian Community was overwhelmed by Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC), 1-0, in a league battle.
The Wildcats (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Patriots go into the Metro Eight 1A battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Piedmont Community Charter was overwhelmed by Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
