Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Segerstrom Jaguars (Santa Ana, CA) and the host El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA), witnessed Segerstrom's softball squad tip El Modena by a count of 7-2.

The Jaguars now sport a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Newport Harbor for a non-league match on Thursday, March 9. Segerstrom will face a Sailors squad coming off a 20-0 league loss to Edison (Huntington Beach, CA). The Sailors record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, El Modena moves to 3-1 on the season. The Vanguards host Foothill (Santa Ana, CA) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 14. The Knights go into the match with a record of 0-0.
