The Chesnee Eagles routed the visiting Blacksburg Wildcats softball squad by a count of 7-0 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Broome (Spartanburg, SC). The Centurions go into the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Broome was routed by Union County (Union, SC), 15-1, in a non-league battle.
The Wildcats now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to High Point Academy for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 9. Blacksburg will meet a Grizzlies squad coming off a 13-1 non-league loss to Chester (Chester, SC). The Grizzlies record now stands at 0-2.
