The Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC) softball routed the host Concord Spiders (Concord, NC), 25-8 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Hornets (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against South Davidson (Denton, NC). The Wildcats go into the Central Carolina 1A/2A bout with a 1-3 record.

The Spiders now possess a 0-3 record. They play next when they host East Rowan for a South Piedmont 3A bout on Tuesday, March 14. Concord will confront a Mustangs squad coming off a 11-2 league win over Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-1.
