Florida High School Softball - East Lake nudges Hernando

March 8, 2023: Tarpon Springs, FL 34688

East Lake Eagles (Tarpon Springs, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hernando Leopards (Brooksville, FL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Hollins for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 9. East Lake will battle a Royals squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg, FL). The Royals record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Hernando falls to 5-1 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to Citrus (Inverness, FL) to battle the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 9. The Hurricanes enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Citrus lost 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Crystal River (Crystal River, FL)
