California High School Softball - El Segundo can't get by North

In Wednesday's league contest, the North Saxons (Torrance, CA) softball team held off the visiting El Segundo Eagles (El Segundo, CA), by a margin of 3-2.

With the triumph, North moves its record to 10-2 on the year. The Saxons host Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, CA) to play the Sea Hawks in a non-league contest on Friday, March 10. The Sea Hawks come into the contest with a record of 6-5. Redondo Union won 1-0 in their recent league contest against Culver City (Culver City, CA)

In their next game, the Eagles play the Venice Gondoliers (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, March 9. El Segundo will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Gondoliers come into the contest with a 5-3 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Santa Monica (Santa Monica, CA).
