Fruitland Grizzlies (Fruitland, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Marsing Huskies (Marsing, ID), 11-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Grizzlies now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host McCall-Donnelly for a 3A Snake River Valley challenge on Monday, March 13. Fruitland will face a Vandals squad coming off a 21-5 non-league loss to New Plymouth (New Plymouth, ID). The Vandals record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Marsing falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Huskies host Baker (Baker City, OR) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 13. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
