The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) and the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), saw South View's softball squad nip Scotland by a count of 2-0.

The Tigers now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Douglas Byrd for a United Eight 3A/4A match on Thursday, March 9. South View will face a Eagles squad coming off a 20-0 league loss to Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Scotland falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Fighting scots host Southern Lee (Sanford, NC) to face the Cavaliers in a Sandhills 3A/4A match on Thursday, March 9. The Cavaliers enter the match with a record of 3-1. Southern Lee lost 18-3 in their recent league match against Richmond (Rockingham, NC)
