Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Carlisle Indians (Price, TX), 19-0 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Union Grove for a 1A Region III District 19 challenge on Monday, March 11. Overton will face a Lions squad coming off a 14-12 league loss to Ore City (Ore City, TX). The Lions record now stands at 0-8.

With the loss, Carlisle falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Hawkins (Hawkins, TX) to face the Hawks in a 2A Region III District 19 challenge on Monday, March 11. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 5-2.
