The Eastwood Troopers softball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Coronado Thunderbirds to 7 in the Troopers league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Eastwood moves its record to 18-5 on the year. The Troopers travel to Americas (El Paso, TX) to clash with the Trail Blazers in a 6A Region I District 1 game on Saturday, March 9. The Trail Blazers come into the game with a record of 9-13. Americas lost 16-8 in their recent league game against Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX)

In their next game, the Thunderbirds clash with the El Dorado Aztecs (El Paso, TX) in a 6A Region I District 1 game, on Saturday, March 9. Coronado will attempt to move on its 8-11 season record. The Aztecs come into the game with a 15-9 record after their 10-4 league win over Eastwood (El Paso, TX).
