Hardee Wildcats (Wauchula, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lemon Bay Manta Rays (Englewood, FL), 14-4 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Placid for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Hardee will battle a Dragons squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to LaBelle (LaBelle, FL). The Dragons record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Lemon Bay falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Manta rays travel to Port Charlotte (Port Charlotte, FL) to battle the Pirates in a 4A District 11 challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Port Charlotte won 13-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Oasis (Cape Coral, FL)
