North Carolina High School Softball - Hoke County holds off Lee County

March 8, 2024: Sanford, NC 27330

Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC), 6-4 in a league challenge.

The Bucks now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Jack Britt for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 11. Hoke County will battle a Buccaneers squad coming off a 13-0 league loss to Lumberton (Lumberton, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Lee County falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets travel to Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC) to battle the Bears in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 13. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 3-0.
