The Hudson Hornets (Lufkin, TX) softball tipped the visiting Latexo Tigers (Latexo, TX), 11-10 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Hornets now sport a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jacksonville for a 4A Region III District 18 challenge on Thursday, March 14. Hudson will face a Fightin' Indians squad coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Brownsboro (Brownsboro, TX). The Fightin' Indians record now stands at 13-8.

With the loss, Latexo falls to 11-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Leon (Jewett, TX) to face the Cougars in a 1A Region IV District 25 challenge on Monday, March 11. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. Leon lost 24-13 in their recent non-league challenge against Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX)
