Georgia High School Baseball - Towns County held off by Burke County

Burke County Bears (Waynesboro, GA) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA), 4-2 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Burke County advances its record to 2-6 on the season. The Bears travel to Glenn Hills (Augusta, GA) to battle the Spartans in a AA Region 4 match on Tuesday, March 11. The Spartans come into the match with a record of 0-4.
The Indians now have a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Varsity Opponent for a non-league match on Monday, March 10. Towns County will battle a squad coming off a 10-3 non-league loss to Cheshire Academy (Cheshire, CT). The record now stands at 13-33.
