The Chelsea Hornets baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Smiths Station Panthers to 4 in the Hornets non-league win on Saturday.
The Hornets now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they host Prattville for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 11. Chelsea will clash with a Lions team coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Calera (Calera, AL). The Lions record now stands at 6-8.
With the defeat, Smiths Station drops to 6-10 on the year. The Panthers travel to Beauregard (Opelika, AL) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league test on Monday, March 10. The Hornets go into the test with a record of 6-7. Beauregard lost 5-4 in their recent non-league test against Reeltown (Notasulga, AL)
