In Saturday's non-league bout, the Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) baseball squad the visiting Seven Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), by a tally of 7-3.
Next up, the Panthers encounter the Whitehouse Wildcats (Whitehouse, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 14. Lufkin will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 6-4 record after their 16-0 non-league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX).
The Spartans (12-5) will now prepare for their bout against Katy (Katy, TX). The Tigers enter the 6A Region III District 19 bout with a 15-5 record. In their last bout, Katy edged Cinco Ranch (Katy, TX), 3-0, in a league bout.
