In Saturday's non-league test, the Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) softball squad got by the host Hahnville Tigers (Boutte, LA), by a tally of 2-1.

Next, the Mustangs play the Bourgeois Braves (Gray, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 8. Assumption will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record. The Braves enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 17-7 league win over Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA).

The Tigers (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mt. Carmel (New Orleans, LA). The Cubs enter the non-league challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Mt. Carmel edged Chalmette (Chalmette, LA), 11-0, in a non-league challenge.
