Colbert County Indians (Leighton, AL) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Athens Bible Trojans (Athens, AL), 6-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Colbert County upgrades its record to 5-4 on the year. The Indians travel to Belgreen (Russellville, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Saturday, March 8. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 5-4. Belgreen lost 3-1 in their recent non-league game against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy (Decatur, AL)

The Trojans now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Waterloo for a non-league game on Monday, March 10. Athens Bible will play a Cougars squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Lindsay Lane Christian Academy (Athens, AL). The Cougars record now stands at 9-3.
