Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM), 5-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Hobbs upgrades its record to 4-2 on the year. The Eagles host Lovington (Lovington, NM) to play the Wildcats in a non-league game on Thursday, March 13. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 3-3.
The Tigers now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Volcano Vista for a non-league game on Thursday, March 13. Los Lunas will play a Hawks squad coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 5-4.
