The Yuba City Honkers triumphed over the host Nevada Union Miners softball squad by a count of 12-5 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Honkers meet the East Nicolaus Spartans (Nicolaus, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, March 12. Yuba City will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record.

The Miners (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA). The Vikings enter the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Pleasant Valley edged University Prep (Redding, CA), 9-1, in a non-league challenge.
