Rider Raiders (Wichita Falls, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX), 12-8 in a league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they host Azle for a 5A Region I District 5 challenge on Friday, March 12. Rider will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Wichita Falls (Wichita Falls, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Granbury falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Aledo (Aledo, TX) to battle the Bearcats in a 5A Region I District 5 challenge on Friday, March 12. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a record of 10-2. Aledo won 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Brewer (Fort Worth, TX)
