California High School Baseball - Johnson nips Mesa Verde

March 9, 2022: Citrus Heights, CA 95621

In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the Johnson Warriors (Sacramento, CA) baseball squad edged the host Mesa Verde Mavericks (Citrus Heights, CA), by a final score of 9-8.

With the win, Johnson upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Warriors travel to Edison (Stockton, CA) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 11. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Edison lost 9-3 in their recent non-league challenge against West (Tracy, CA)

With the defeat, Mesa Verde falls to 2-1 on the season. The Mavericks travel to El Dorado (Placerville, CA) to battle the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 10. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. El Dorado won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Amador (Sutter Creek, CA)
