The Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs got by the host Metter Tigers baseball team by a count of 10-9 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host McIntosh County Academy for a 1A D-II Area 3 bout on Tuesday, March 14. Emanuel County Institute will face a Buccaneers team coming off a 13-6 non-league win over Long County (Ludowici, GA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 9-3.
Next, the Tigers face the Screven County Gamecocks (Sylvania, GA) in a 1A D-I Area 3 bout, on Tuesday, March 14. Metter will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Gamecocks enter the bout with a 5-8 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Islands (Savannah, GA).
