McFarland Spartans (McFarland, WI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Stoughton Vikings (Stoughton, WI), 74-66 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McFarland upgrades its record to 28-3 on the season. The Spartans travel to Whitnall (Greenfield, WI) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Saturday, March 11. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 23-3. Whitnall won 62-52 in their recent non-league bout against Westosha Central (Salem, WI)
