Holtville Bulldogs (Deatsville, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Alabama Christian Academy Eagles (Montgomery, AL), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they host Brewbaker Tech for a 5A Area 4 challenge on Monday, March 13. Holtville will face a Rams squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Prattville Christian Academy (Prattville, AL). The Rams record now stands at 15-2.

With the loss, Alabama Christian Academy falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Montgomery Catholic (Montgomery, AL) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 13. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 2-7. Montgomery Catholic won 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Tallassee (Tallassee, AL)
