The Broome Centurions (Spartanburg, SC) softball nipped the visiting Chesnee Eagles (Chesnee, SC), 9-8 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Centurions (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Travelers Rest (Travelers Rest, SC). The Devildogs go into the AAA Region 3 bout with a 2-0 record.
The Eagles now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Woodruff for a non-league bout on Friday, March 10. Chesnee will confront a Wolverines squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Chesnee (Chesnee, SC). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-2.
