North Carolina High School Softball - Clinton knocked off by East Duplin

March 9, 2023: Clinton, NC 28328

In Thursday's non-league contest, the East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) softball team overwhelmed the host Clinton Dark Horses (Clinton, NC), by a margin of 17-0.

With the triumph, East Duplin moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Panthers host James Kenan (Warsaw, NC) to play the Tigers in a East Central 2A contest on Tuesday, March 14. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 2-2. James Kenan won 9-7 in their recent non-league contest against Lakewood (Roseboro, NC)

In their next game, the Dark Horses play the Heide Trask Titans (Rocky Point, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, March 10. Clinton will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Titans come into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC).
