St. Amant Gators (St. Amant, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Denham Springs Yellowjackets (Denham Springs, LA), 9-0 in a league challenge.

The Gators now own a 14-1 record. They take the field next when they host D'Arbonne Woods for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 10.

With the loss, Denham Springs falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to East Ascension (Gonzales, LA) to face the Spartans in a 5A District 5 match on Tuesday, March 14. The Spartans go into the match with a record of 8-8. East Ascension won 14-1 in their recent non-league match against Caldwell Parish (Columbia, LA)
